William J. Kraemer, Ph.D. is a Professor in the Department of Kinesiology working in the Human Performance Laboratory at the University of Connecticut at Storrs. He also is a Professor in the Department of Physiology and Neurobiology and a Professor of Medicine at the University of Connecticut Health Center. He earned a Ph.D. in physiology from the University of Wyoming in 1984. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research. Furthermore, he is the co-author (with Dr. Steve Fleck) of Designing Resistance Training Programs. This book is clearly one of the very best in the strength and conditioning category. Dr. Kraemer is one of the world’s leading experts in the field of strength training and hormonal responses to exercise training.
