Shrink Fat from Your "Trouble Spots"—Those Last 5 or 10 Stubborn Pounds Don't Stand a Chance! New Study Offers Solid Proof!

Thanks to Lean System 7, "trouble spots" may no longer be such a burden. Find out what new research has to say about your ability to shrink fat on the places you hate the most.

By Stephen Adele, Editor-in-Chief

As you may know (since we reported this in a previous newsletter), after nearly eight millions dollars and ten years of diligent research, Dr. Henry Lardy discovered what many experts claimed to be "the fountain of youth"—a micronutrient/metabolite called 7-Keto® (a natural substance produced by the body in our adrenal glands, which declines with age). It was originally released to the market in 1998 and quickly became one of the most sought after and widely used "anti-aging" supplements in America.

Landmark Study Results

Later, on October 21, 1999, the ground-breaking results of a double-blind, placebo-controlled study were published in the Journal of Exercise Physiology, which revealed healthy male and female participants who supplemented with 7-Keto lost three times more bodyfat (and dropped bodyfat 200% faster!) in only eight weeks than participants who followed the same nutrition and exercise program but did not use 7-Keto.

An April 2002 edition of Current Therapeutic Research published a similar clinical trial, which confirmed these impressive findings. This research revealed 7-Keto's ability to help the body metabolize fat at a much accelerated rate.

These landmark studies solidified the patents on this breakthrough supplement, which continue to protect Dr. Henry Lardy and Humanetics (the manufacturer of 7-Keto). One such prestigious U.S. Patent (# 5,296,481) was awarded for use in weight loss and weight management. Since then, 7-Keto has been awarded 17 other U.S. patents for additional health benefits, such as improved immune functioning, cognitive and memory enhancement, and healthy skin.

The Birth of Lean System 7

In early 2002, I co-founded an exciting, new supplement company called iSatori Technologies, and we decided to "up the ante" in fat-loss technology by forging a partnership with Humanetics to develop the novel supplement called Lean System 7—the first "advanced metabolic activation system" on the market. Lean System 7 was designed using the latest science on 7-Keto and combining it with other equally powerful "metabolic-enhancing" supplements, such as yerba mate, guarana, and green tea. Over the last year, this supplement has become wildly successful—rapidly becoming the most popular non-ephedrine-based fat-loss supplement to date.

Lean System 7 Study Results Published

Recently, Lean System 7 was thoroughly examined in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study (the "gold standard" in research), and it appears to be remarkably safe and effective in helping individuals reduce bodyfat, increase metabolic rate, and preserve muscle mass. What's even more surprising, Lean System 7 was shown to specifically reduce bodyfat in those hard-to-reach "trouble areas," more commonly referred to as the hips and thighs (for women) and the waist or love handles (for men). This landmark study was presented last year in abstract form at this year's Experimental Biology Meetings (Abstract #LB468), which was attended by more than 10,000 medical doctors, scientists, and researchers who came together to share their work and reveal the latest scientific findings.

Even more exciting, this study (entitled "The Effect of Lean System 7* on Metabolic Rate and Body Composition") was accepted for publication in NUTRITION: The International Journal of Applied and Basic Nutritional Sciences. You can find it in the February 2005 issue (Nutrition 21.2 [2005] : 179-85).

Medical Doctor Reveals Surprising Findings

John Zenk, a board certified internal medical doctor, headed up this study as the Principal Investigator at the Minnesota Applied Research Center (MARC). The study consisted of 47 healthy, slightly overweight male and female adults (average age of 39). Before the study, Dr. Zenk and his research team measured the test subjects' body composition by DEXA analysis (a highly accurate method for evaluating lean mass and bodyfat). And to make the study comprehensive, they also measured the test subjects' bodyweight, BMI (body mass index), BMR (basal metabolic rate or the rate the body burns calories at complete rest), and waist and hip circumference.

During the eight-week study, all test subjects were instructed to follow the same nutrition program (consisting of 40% protein, 40% carbohydrates, and 20% dietary fat), and the same exercise regimen (consisting of three-day-a-week mild exercise, such as a brisk walk or jog).

Now, it's important to point out that this was a "blinded" study, with a placebo. This means that none of the test subjects knew who was getting what. Both groups consumed a supplement that came in a generic bottle, and all the capsules looked identical. Only one group was taking the actual Lean System 7 and the other was taking a placebo (which was rice flour).

At the end of the study, researchers once again evaluated the test subjects' lean and fat mass (by DEXA), as well as their bodyweight, BMI, BMR, and waist and hip circumference. The study results were very impressive (and interesting), to say the least!

Here are a few of the more important findings iSatori received from Dr. Zenk, M.D., Principal Investigator of the study. Although parts of Dr. Zenk's comments are rather complicated, I wanted to show you this information, firsthand.

  • The results of the study revealed that the group taking Lean System 7 experienced a significantly greater reduction in hip circumference measurement than did the group taking the placebo (4.85 cm vs. 2.34 cm).

  • Additionally, the Lean System 7 treatment group had significant reductions in bodyweight (2.9 kg), BMI (0.97 kg/m2), and waist circumference (5.78 cm) with no change in muscle mass over the course of the study.

  • It is important to point out that the placebo group had the expected decline in BMR (-14 kcal/d) over the eight-week period while the Lean System 7 group had a 1,391% increase (+178 kcal/d) in BMR. This illustrates a preservation of metabolic rate by Lean System 7 in the face of caloric restriction, which normally results in a decrease in BMR. The largest increase in BMR by a subject taking Lean System 7 was a remarkable 930 kcal/d.

  • Most importantly, there were no significant changes in vital signs, health assessment scores, or adverse events between the two treatment groups, demonstrating that the oral administration of Lean System 7 is safe and has a side effect profile that is no different than the placebo.

Look, here's the reason I'm writing about this study—this is not just "pretty interesting stuff"; in the realm of scientific research on fat metabolism, it's literally ground-breaking.

Check out the charts on this page. They reveal the astonishing results of the study. This study suggests, for the first time ever, that a supplement may finally target particular places of deep-stored, hard-to-reach bodyfat. Not only that but with no adverse side effects reported, Lean System 7 was proven just as safe as the placebo (remember, that was rice flour). To my knowledge, Lean System 7 is the only non-ephedrine-based fat-loss supplement that's been clinically tested (and proven) to be both safe and effective, with results of this magnitude.

Obviously, I would recommend that anyone who's using any form of diet pill, thermogenic, or fat-loss supplement and wants to shed unhealthy bodyfat try Lean System 7. This evidence from a peer-reviewed, published study clearly shows that Lean System 7 appears to produce greater, more targeted effects than any other fat-loss supplement out there.

In Conclusion

Of course, one, two, or three studies that demonstrate a particular supplement can obtain certain effects doesn't necessarily mean you can say the data proves that everyone will experience the same results. While studies like this offer solid evidence of the type of results experienced in a controlled environment, results can and will vary, even using the same supplement and following the same nutrition and exercise. In essence, there are no typical results.

But, doesn't strong scientific evidence make you feel much more confident than marketing hype and simply guessing?! I would think so.
