To fully understand how Morph could possibly do this, we must first look at some underlying physiology. During intense exercise, muscle substrates such as Adenosine Tri-Phosphate (ATP), Phosphocreatine (PCr), and glycogen are all reduced to perform work; i.e., generate energy. Subsequently, these various reactions form metabolites as the byproducts of this energy (ATP) production. These metabolites include ADP and H+ along with the formation of deleterious free radicals.
The combination of metabolic byproducts along with depleted energy levels all have the negative effect of decreasing muscle output and therefore inhibiting you from doing more work. Carnosine (beta-alanyl l-histidine) is highly concentrated in muscle tissue. Its primary role is to buffer H+ concentration and prevent its buildup.1 In doing so, supplementing with it allows for a greater total amount of work to be done. As you can see by the chemical name of Carnosine, it is the combination of B-Alanine (Beta-alanine) along with histidine and aspartic acid.

So now that we've primed your muscles and begun your workout, how do we generate supra-physiological blood flow throughout the training session... You know the kind of blood flow that generates skin-splitting pumps and produces road-map vascularity? The answer is Stage II of Morph, delivered at precisely 60 minutes post consumption. NO has also been shown to amplify growth signals. A key role is the role of NO mediating satellite cell activation. You see, after muscle injury, including resistance exercise, satellite cells are activated and recruited to cycle as precursors for new muscle formation via gene expression.
The expression of these genes, release of growth factors such as bFGF, and DNA synthesis later are used to characterize muscle regeneration in injured and dystrophic muscle. (Anderson JE, 2000).
The second part of Hydro-PUMP includes Glyceryl Monostearate, an esterfied form of glycerol to stearic acid which allows for a solid dosing form of glycerol over traditional liquids. Glycerol has long been known to help draw water into the cell, thereby allowing for greater hydrationcalled hyperhydrationwhich causes mind-blowing pumps and enhanced vascularity.
In fact this hyperhydation state was again validated recently in a study assessing cold air exposure, wherein fluid loss is known to be greater than in a normal state. In this particular study, fluid retention was shown to be significantly greater in the glycerol group than with water alone. 7

By now, your workout is complete, but Morph certainly isn't done yet. Stage III of Morph delivers precisely at two hours after ingestion, via our GXR-3, three-stage delivery system tablet. Here Morph delivers yet another chemical matrix, Prosyntha-Rx, this time, though, to accelerate recovery and muscular regeneration by enhancing protein synthesis and anabolic pathways.
Prosyntha-Rx sets out with Di-Creatine Malate, a patented cocktail of creatine and malic acid (Patent 7,129,273). Similar to above as it relates to malic acid to further enhance exercise performance via administration of this TCA cycle intermediate. However, this time synergistically bonded with creatine. Since malic acid is essential for ATP production and decreases during exhaustive exercise bouts, and similarly creatine helps replenish phosphcreatine stores, thus assisting in ATP production, the combination of two parts of creatine with one part malic acid may indeed exponentially benefit the replenishment of these ATP-producing compounds and thus enhance recovery from traumatizing workouts.
Also L-Citrulline is included. Now, we've talked a bit about L-Arginine as it relates to nitric oxide, but let's briefly discuss the lesser known citrulline. Nitric oxide synthase (NOS) converts arginine to nitric oxide (NO) and citrulline. The reverse, converting citrulline to arginine, occurs when two urea cycle enzymes, arginosuccinate synthetase and argininosuccinate lyase, recycle citrulline back to arginine in two steps (citrulline + arginosuccinate synthetase → arginiosuccinate + argininosuccinate lyase → arginine).
When undergoing intense training, ammonia can quickly build up and if not recycled rapidly via the urea cycle can inhibit recovery and cause undo trauma to the muscle. Thus, Citrulline is included as Stage III of Morph for its powerful ability to increase L-Arginine levels (maybe even more than arginine supplementation alone) and its ability to remove harmful ammonia from your body. Arginine also serves as a precursor for protein synthesis8, an essential component of recovery from intense exercise. Thus, by proving both Citrulline and Arginine, we can achieve optimal levels of plasma arginine for enhanced NO, protein synthesis, and ammonia removal.
