Hello all! Some of you may remember me, but I realize many are probably new.  At any rate, I was looking into getting some EatSmart and  just wanted to pop in and say hello and give a brief update since I went MIA...

Not sure if I chimed this in before, but, well, I had a baby.  She was born August 19th and is just perfect (really!) and healthy and such a blessing.  (send me a message if you'd like the blog address where I have pictures)  I gained a little more than I'd hoped while pregnant, but nothing crazy (35lbs, of which I lost 11 and got stuck).  Now I just get to work it all off!  I'm nursing, which the giant myth says would make it fly off my body, but that's just not true.  I ended up taking some meds for supply which didn't help matters, but oh well.  I eat well, stay the same weight.  I eat badly, stay the same weight.  Makes no sense.

I am dying to work out.  I have the go ahead, but every time I try it just hurts.  (again, I'm nursing...a bit personal here)  Low impact it is.  At least until around July 2010!

It's always inspiring to visit this forum, so thank you!  I hope everyone has a great weekend!

    Michelle

Congratulations Michelle on you new bundle of fun.

it will be good for you to get back to exercising, it will be good for baby too, happy mum = happy baby.

do you weight train? if so just do the exercises that you know and do them slowly so the muscles feel it.
go stay light for now, if you work slowly and flex the muscles this will help to keep them toned and help maintain flexability
you can get more ambitious as the pain subsides.
for now just enjoy the "me time"

its important to maintain a range of motion, flexabilty and a routine, you can step it up when the time is right.

    Good Luck Eddie
