I find myself looking in the mirror and say its not coming off quick enough! I am not growing enough! But I am working hard, why am I not seeing the type of results that I want??

I have come to the simple conclusion that I just like most are so impatient and want instant gratification (as we American’s so often feel this way)!

What simple tools we have at our disposal to help see the results if we utilized them correctly! I feel like a fool, somehow I forgot that I took my own personal measurement on November 17th last year so I can track my progress.

Well looking at those #’s last night and wondering why haven’t I seen the progress I have been wanting, I decided to take those same measurements again to see if I am getting results or simply crazy.

Turns out I am CRAZY! PROGRESS had been made…

Nov 17th          134 days ago    March 29th       Change

    253 lbs             Weight             243 lbs             -10 lbs

    48”                   Chest               49.5”                +1.5”

    15”                   Arms                15.3”                +0.3”

    47.5                 Hips                 44.3”                -3.2”

51”                   Waist               42”                   -9” (yikes, and still more to go)

    28”                   Thighs              24.5”                -3.5”

    18”                   Calves              16”                   -2”

    18”                   Neck                16”                   -2”

Less body fat, more muscle and size! I continue to move in that direction with even more vigor now knowing the results I have accomplished at this point.

Looking back, knowing that out of that 134 days I missed a full month due to a shoulder injury. How much more progress could have been made with more consistent tracking, better dedication to nutrition and exercise!

Conclusion: Patients, consistency, setting goals, tracking your progress and know that anything worth achieving only comes with your own blood, sweat and tears!

Thanks for sharing the success story.  I'm particularly impressed with the drop in your waist.  I think that is the ultimate measurement.  Keep up the good work.

    Good Work Mathias,

One more lesson, spend some serious time warming up the shoulders before any upper body work.

    Hi Mathias

First of all, congratulations on your results!!!  Quite impressive!!!

I do believe that we are our own worst critic which can also be a form of negativity (not saying you are a negative person).  Many people tend to get discouraged and subconsciously tell themselves that they'll never be fit and why bother.  We also live in a society of instant gratification and expect the human body to perform miracles overnight when we know things take time.  However, we have become conditioned to think other wise and, to a certain degree, when it comes to weight loss, our industry is guility of making people think that they can get miraculous results in just days or minutes with the latest fat loss pill or gadget.

Those of us who do succeed have a success mindset and are able to overcome these negative inner conversations our subconscious mind plays on us.

    Congratulations again on impressive results!!!

Skinny, thank you sir and you are right. Measurements are the only thing that counts as it shows the results the best in my estimation.

Eddie, you are correct and i have to say it is making a big difference with extra warm up sets. Lots of ice and heat as well with the bad shoulder! But it wont stop me!

Shari, thank you honey! The mind is the key and with focus and a little patients we can accomplish anything!!
